![]() Your latest collection, Palace Escape, evokes a sense of grandeur and fantasy. Can you walk us through the story behind it and share what inspired you this season? The collection is inspired by queen Louise of Denmark who lived in Denmark in the 19th century. She had 3 daughters and her goal in life was to make them as beautiful as possible and to marry them into the best families of Europe. Each section is inspired by a different princess. The first one is princess Alexandra who became the queen of England “Fragmented Royalty”, we call her. Second section is queen Dagma who moved to Russia and married the Tsar, actually she married the brother of the Tsar because the brother passed away and then she took the brother. The last one is Thyra who went to Germany and she is the most outrageous one, who ties her dresses short and run into the night. ![]() ![]() ![]() Draping and dramatic silhouettes have been signature elements in your past collections. How have you pushed these techniques further in this season’s designs? What I often do when I start a collection is: I look a lot at like what would a girl wear to look cool wearing right now What I spend a lot of time on this season is bringing a lot of evening wear. I didn’t want to do bustier fit and flare because not that I don’t like them but there is a lot of that in the market already. I wanted it to feel more effortless so you see the last look for example is literally 2 straps and a little tie in the back and then you have the drape on the hips and it’s short. Effortless easy evening wear! |
