For the Spring-Summer 2023 collection, Thom Browne gathered the fashion industry and celebrities such as Doja Cat, Jaden Smith and Janet Jackson at the Palais Garnier, the emblematic Opera in Paris to tell one of their best stories until now trough a marvellous collection: “As you know, Thom likes to tell a story...it’s going to be a long story...and you know he loooves his long stories.” And so the show began after the bell rang 12 times to indicate the story takes place at midnight. The garments made references to characters from fairy tales and so we got to see queens, villains, fairies including Bella Hadid on the runway. The show was closed by Cindy, a modern version of Cinderella taking a pink Cadillac around the runway. Thom Browne proved once more his talent for merging the iconic uniform-style into his collections but also to tell the most exciting stories each fashion week and to come up with one of the highlight shows each season in Paris. // @thombrowne
